The verdict
The 2026 luxury cruise line rankings showcase Regent Seven Seas Cruises leading a strong field, recognized for its comprehensive all-inclusive offerings. Established luxury lines like Silversea and Seabourn maintain their top-tier positions, emphasizing bespoke service and an intimate atmosphere. The list also highlights the growing influence of hotel-branded luxury, with The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection making a notable entry, alongside a revitalized Crystal Cruises and new entrant Explora Journeys.
Where the AIs disagreed
The AI judges likely faced the most disagreement in the mid-to-lower rankings, particularly concerning the distinct placement of the broader "Viking Cruises" brand against "Viking Ocean Cruises," and the precise positioning of the newly relaunched "Crystal Cruises" amidst other emerging luxury players.

How Banzuke Works (METHODOLOGY)
The Banzuke editors have three AIs (Claude, GPT, and Gemini) each independently select a Top 10, then aggregate the results using the Borda count method (10 points for 1st down to 1 point for 10th) to compose this ranking.
Banzuke ensures that no AI references any other AI's votes: each votes completely independently using the same prompt and the same evaluation criteria.
Evaluation is based on the common criteria Banzuke defines (quality, cost-performance, uniqueness, reliability) together with category-specific criteria. You can see which criteria each AI prioritized by expanding each item's vote details.
